What do you think, guys? I was given this by a friend.

I think that "Deaf Culture" is getting out of hand. This happens a lot at NTID. I've got people who bullshit and give others a hard time about "Deaf Culture". I've heard of guys refusing to date girls because that girl wears CIs or has hearing parents. Jeez! Know what he said to her? "Oh, your parents aren't deaf so I can't date you. Sorry."

What struck me the most is that it said that the deaf community should be considered ethnic. Hmm...I don't think I agree with that.

:werd: Yeah, it shouldn't be considered ethnic. It should be considered as a handicap. Some of us are born hearing and become deaf later in life. We don't see people being born Asian and becoming African at the age of 10 or any Hispanics becoming Indians at the age of 15!
