I am just wondering. Is this okay? Two people always tease me about being slow or do things slow and it hurts my feelings. They think it okay to tease. They would not respect me instead they would tell me to get over it.

no - not ok, if you feel sad about it and you tell them to stop and they won't.
that's not respectful to you. There is a thread about bullying here: http://www.alldeaf.com/general-chat/97017-my-little-sister-being-bullied-how-can-i-help-her.html

and here: http://www.alldeaf.com/general-chat/97073-help-stop-bully.html

I agree. I was bullied a lot in school. I'm not deaf, but bullying is bullying. The person makes fun of a part of you, that you have no control over. It's bullying and you shouldn't have to take it.

Thanks. I haven't told them thoroughly but have experiences in the past and they would tell me that anytime they tease. I worried they would say that because they say all the time. I will give it try more thoroughly. My two family members like to tease me.

Family teasing is a more delicate situation but it's still teasing. Everyone thinks they know you, so they automatically assume that they can tell you this or that and get away with it, since most of them think "They're only doing it in love." The fact is, it's not love at all. Anything that hurts your feelings which is not meant to correct your behavior (from someone who's entitled to do that) is bullying. Just be extremely frank about it. Tell them they're hurting your feelings and you'd like it stopped. If they don't, get up, walk away and give them the cold shoulder for a while. They'll either get the message or everyone else will in the family.

and try, to remember, even a little - teasing is not about you - it's the other person who isn't acting in a loving way, and has everything to do with them and their own insecurities - NOTHING to do with you-

I vaguely recall similar thread from years ago on other forum.
The poster gave examples of what others said, and asked for good comebacks,
and it actually worked !

The comebacks turned out to be a good examples to make more
on his or her own :)

If you think that would work for you, perhaps you can PM your friends here
for suggestions? Unless you don;t mind this done in the thread.
