Why am I not surprised?

....a provision that would tax the makers of swine flu vaccines and drugs. The provision raises $2.3 billion annually from drug makers who sell their products through government programs.

“When everybody is coming together to fight a possible pandemic the last thing the government should be doing is taxing the people who manufacture the vaccines and the drugs to treat H1N1 flu,”

Reform tax would hit H1N1 vaccine manufacturers - Live Pulse - POLITICO.com

Just like what Hillary said this year that we (Democrats) will tax everything that moves ....and don't move.

Oh god... you actually think they'd rather NOT make vaccines and not make a cent than to make something and profit from it despite having to pay more taxes?

So, taxing everything that moves get taxed is the acceptable status quo of the year then?

what are you yapping about? you don't pay much tax anyway. we taxpayers are paying for your salary :aw:

"So, taxing everything that moves get taxed is the acceptable status quo of the year then?"

Absolutely! Everything you move, you should pay. Ronald Reagan was right when he said, "The government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it."

Only problem is that he doesn't realize that it's the only way to maintain a stable society.

Politicians/higher up leaders/scientists ( for prescriptions/vaccines ) are money hungry. They will tax EVERYTHIN' from small to big... from moves to non-moves. I am wonderin' what's next ? :hmm:

your opinion :aw:

Huh? Politicians/scientists/leaders don't get paid more for taxing more. They in fact pay more taxes as well.

I thought USA bought the H1N1 vaccination from Australia?

Are they aiming this tax at drug companies based in the USA or what?

Just wondering
