I think it is good about how to prepare for the next Attack.. But, Isn't that scaring people away knowing that maybe there a possible there will be another attack in America? I just Wish everyone will Just Get along! Live in a Peace and friendly World instead of attacking eachother and Our America. Wars needs to be Stopped and Bombs too! Too many people have been killed over all those years and Will it ever ends? :mad2:

Yeah, I agree. I just want to see if, the ADers could respond to this thread, because I wasn't sure if, they are prepared. I believe that there will NEVER be a peace, because of the Middle East problem.

Terrorism scared people, yes... but, there's no place for people to hide, because people are not prepared of what's comin' to them. For example: remma 9/11 ? And, no one warned people about what was comin' on that day in New York City. People were too busy and enjoyed their lives without bein' aware. It's why I encourage deaf people to prepare ahead. It would be nice to discuss in between AD friends to help sharin' with water, foods, gas/oil, and etc., etc. and put them in one of their safe places until the day comes, they could go to that place together and stay there where everything is prepared for them. I know some AD friends have already met thru this AD site in real life. Maybe, it's a good idea for them to discuss in case, if anything should happen and they could meet to where they could go to ???

What do you think?

Oh please.
When they announced the terrorist attack alert on tv last week, I completely wrapped myself in duct tape, and had a b*tch of a time getting around.
Then when I found out that Homeland Security was completely surprised by the "threat" announced by that fool Ashcroft, I ripped out most of my body hair taking off the darn tape.
Never again.

IMO, if we have attack and we are *unprepared* well no one is ever prepared for any sudden attacks and sudden suprises, just have to face it when it comes and when it does come and if this is the end for us all, then we just have to accept and move on in life. and go forth into enterity( sp)

Yeah, that happens. But, I am speakin' of "preparation".... just to be safe. No body knows who to trust in this nowdays anymore. I've seen some movies about what is goin' to happen in our country and even, thou some people don't think it will happen. But, why show in TV when makin' movies about them? Sometimes, movies comes true. The only problem is W H E N ?? It's why I ask for feedbacks, opinions and all, so this way we all will know what to expect ahead of time and be prepare for it.... remma that there's children out there that needs adults' help as well. :)

Certinally, Unprepare for me and unexpecting terrioist came and attack on my country. Would be challenge and accept forthcoming no matter what.. I just hoping all terrioist will stop and become into the peace. *cross'n my finger*
CyberRed, r u excellent brings this topic.. *speaking how much your felt as expression conquestion terrioist.*

To me, being prepared means accepting that terrorist attacks CAN happen anywhere, and keeping eyes out on suspicious activities. If you see people leaving suitcase or parcels on the floor and not coming back, report it to the police or security. I think we take everything too much for granted here, and assume that everyone is nice. I'm not saying to think that everyone is mean, but one needs to use his own common sense and judgment to analyze suspicious activities.

Yes, recently in TV show here, someone put a dummy suitcase in the High Street to see if anyone are alert to see this suspicious suitcase but no one think twice!

Also one of my friend's deaf friend told me she left her suitcase near the phone booth at the Airport and went to the Rest Room or cafe(?) because it was too heavy to carry with her, and there was an alarm on and block the people out and she went back with a red face and said its her suitcase there, as they thought it was a bomb-suitcase!

Preparation for what I went through in 1979 was impossible!

In 1979, when my mother, my sister, and I were traveling in Europe, we almost became victims of the Basque terrorists. We were in one of the subways underneath Toledo, Spain when our subway stayed at a stop for too long. Then I felt the speakers blare out something and suddenly everyone was running out of the cabins up the stairs out of the subway system. My mom had this terrible look on her face as if something bad was happening or about to happen. About 5 minutes later as we were looking for a taxi, I felt a big thud on the ground then a lot of smoke was coming out of the subway vents and the stairways. A bomb in the subway tunnel ahead of us had gone off!

Recent bombings in Spain makes me shudder.

The only way to deal with terrorism is prevention, intelligence, and elimination of potential terrorist activity before it starts. It has been hard (for the feds) to draw the line between hightened awareness and paranoia.

It's always good to be ready for certain situations, however, I'm not overly concerned about most of them. I know that they could happen, however I'm not going to worry and stress about them.

I certainly agree with that. How in the WORLD do we "prepare" for something like this?
By doing calisthenics?

Right, that is the reason why I didn't post in this thread because, I don't agree with this.....Let me tell you why....

Why waste our time sitting around preparing the ' next attack ' from terrorism when we have better things to do with our lives by spending the time what we have left .....I believe this is what terrorists would want American people and with other countries as well, they want us to put our lives on hold and prepare for the worse to come when we can always believe that this is not going to happen again but if it does then we know we had our precious moments spending our own lives with the people we love the most rather than sitting around biting our nails out and drive ourselves crazy or be constantly panic which is exactly what the terrorists want to achieve!

We each can do whatever preparations we do feel is necessary in our own homes, and personally I am prepared simply by being with my own loved ones....

It's not necessary to put lives on "hold". It's just that if you and everyone are prepared ahead like if, you guys already KNOW what to do before it happens...if, not then this is what this thread is for by helpin' others to be sure that they know what to do ahead of time. That's all it matters. For example: some people don't know what to do if, they saw someone faints or pass out...are they experienced on CPR ? Some of them are NOT or are not trained and of course other people could help them by showin' them how to do CPR. Same idea for here ... to help feedbacks and so forth about the terrorism. Just usin' your common sense.

Locked and loaded here! LOL....

LOL .. Well, what about your friends next door or somewhere in your local area if they are injured ? Will you take them in or ignore them ?

I noticed some people don't want to help if, that happens. They just run for their lives like a "stampede" deers !

From what I know, surviving terrorism is similar to surviving a major earthquake, except for a few extra emergency stuff that isn't needed in earthquake disasters. We are more likely to sit back and not watch what happens next, til bam
