You certainly would not get back to normal immediately after receiving shock from pacemaker. Under stress.... I'm sure that does not include resisting against cops.

So are you saying.... with pacemaker - you'd be able to play sports like football? or soccer?

Depends on the individual and the amount of damage done to the cardiac system before the pacemaker was implanted. I personally know 2 individuals in their 40's who have pacemakers that are in better shape physically than most peoplewithout health problems. One has been a friend of mine for about 3 years, and is in the Ph.D. program with me. He is retired from the military, works out 4 times a week, and is great shape. The other is the man I date. He had a pacemaker implanted 4 years ago due to a genetic heart problem, and I can personally vouch for his ability to do anything any other man his age can do.
