He's being a prick about the spelling.

You said jillo.

Her name is jillio.

I realized now I have been spelling it jilio though.

Yes, and each and every time, I knew who was being referred to. Go figure!

I know.

Why though?

Making a political statement? Getting your money back?

Pretty much...then redistribute of course. I just think it would be interesting to see if our system is so flawed that they would give it to me....

BTW thx for the tip on SSDI. I never researched it thinking I owned to much to qualify. I plan to apply tomorrow.

That's exactly what SSA is for - to help those who are unable to work due to their disability or retired. You probably earned enough credits and since you're now disabled, you have the right to receive the benefits that you chipped in.

If you're unsure with the process, it's best to get a disability lawyer that can help you get your SSDI benefits. Anything you say at SSA can be used against you so be careful. SSA has to treat every case with suspicion.

Well that and I may as well get some back before they go broke ya know

It is NOT a flaw. The SSA makes it clear - if you're disabled or retired, you're eligible for benefits. It's that simple.

While that is true, however it was not the intention of the people who founded this program.

Unfortunately, when it comes to SSDI, an attorney is necessary more often than not.

Hope they base it on what I paid in..... :dance2:

Generally, with SSDI it is based on what you have paid in, as well as the number of years you have worked. Also Survivors Benefits are a pay in base.
