when i get a bad case of sunburn, i would get sick and cant drink milk and diary foods. they made me sick! ugh! sunburns are not funny and can cause cancers not if you take care of urself by putting sunblocks. skins are very delicate for sure! :ugh2:

Hey there...ouchie that sound very bad and best to see DR, I seriously u do!! Cuz here it is that I found from the website: Expert: Q&A (Sun Poison) <<---pls click it! And good luck!

ouch...sorry you have to go thru that!

Have you put Green Ice in the refrigator (sp?) ..It is great to use especially when its cold...:D

If you have sun poison.. and allergic to sun.. since you described to us..

my advise .. GO ER or Urgent Care..

because... if you are allergic.. all that reactions can be swellen and can cause your breathing trouble..

OR... maybe your sunburn is overburn of limit.. 1st degree - 2nd degree so forth..

Best safe... GO see dr.. I am sure dr will you better medience for relief..for the pain and itching.. maybe allergic pill ..

hope you are ok

I second that! :)

It's better safe than sorry, right? please go to ER...

Get in the COLD shower or bathtub, don't rub the skin, just pet and pat on the skins...

Take Bendentryl (if you have rash or sun fever like watery eyes, sneezes)

Put Ice Green Aloe (green or blue gel) all over your sunburns and poison areas.
(RECOMMENDATION - if you have green gel or blue gell "Aloe gel", PUT them in the refridgerator and it will get cold, and when you have sunburnts or poision, you use that from refridgerator, it will keep it COLD and COOL your itch. I have 3 of them, and all in my refridgerator. And it works really well and feeling the cold gel.. It's feel GOOOOD!)

Then wear something LOOSE clothes... No heavy shirt...

Next time, put sunscreens on your skins, no matter if there is no sun or not...
You can still get sunburnt if the sky is cloudy...

If your skins have blisters, better go to urgent clinic (doctor). If it is bloody red, GO TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM!!

There are many certain medications that will cause you to be very sensitive to heat and sun, and make you very vulnerable to sunstrokes. The elderly and those with mental illnesses are the ones most at risk because of their medications that they are required to take.

So you should talk to your doctor and ask him if it is your medications that caused you to get sunstroke/sun poisoning, and if so, you will have to refrain from being out in the heat and from being out in the sun.

I have burnt all the time for the first time.. But not really RED or blisters.. Just burnt, and I put cold aloe on me, and next morning, it went away and no more sting pains and few days, it turned to tan...

Just to let everyone know that My swelling has gone down a little bit, My mother told me to try triamcinolone cream, said it is made for the skin to stop itching, I just put some on few hours ago and it seems to help a little bit believe it or not.. The worst part is the itching, my burn on my shoulders are feeling a lot better after using a whole bottle of Ice Green w/aloe... I've been trying to drink water but I can't stand water at all, but I'm drinking a lot of fluids tho.
Im still taking my hot baths and it doesn't bother me anymore, I think Im going to keep a eye on it for another day or so to make sure if the itching is gone and etc.. thanks for everyone advice

Cassbugs, I am glad you are ok but becareful yourself when you go out during hot weather. use a sun protect like lotion something like that. alright

I'm glad you're doing okay after this but of course the Sunburn/Sun Poision is not a fun thing to have. I've usually done the home remedy which HELPS a heap alot. I don't know if that will be adaptable to the sun poision but it does work great with the sun burns. The remedy would be - get a bottle of vinegar and pour it in the water (of course in the bath tub) and soak your whole body in there for at least 30 mins or so. I know the vinegar has a strong scent to it and I have always hated smelling the vinegar but it is worth the job! The vinegar will be able to absorb the heat that is in your skin due to the sun but however, You'll still be able to have the redness on your skin. The heat will be reduced much better and less painful after a vinegar bath. Just my 2 cents ;)

No Problem, Let's hope it works great for you. Let us know if it helps you alot. I'm not sure if the vinegar will help with the itching but it does normally help alot with the heat that is instilled on your skin. I've always done the vinegar thing and it has always went through for me every time I had the sun burn.

That is great!! I'm glad the vinegar helped you. Perhaps you can do it again for a couple time and it could help the itching go away? ;) And by the way, You're welcome.
