Suggestions anyone?

My husband's grandfather is extremely HOH. It is to the point that it is very difficult to carry on a conversation with him, and as he is 5 hours away, that is how most of us keep in touch with him. He is also very anti-technology.

I seem to remember there being some kind of phone, the way I explained it to my husband is...a closed caption telephone. Does anyone know what they are called and where they can be purchased?
