Anyone of you see the TV show last night. Wow, it was very good. Sue is hard of hearing as she sign very good. Joel was actor too. Joel was burning on his face and hands when he was infant in the car accident. His name is Joel Sonnenberg. http://www.fosters.com/September2004/09.13.04/news/ex_0913e.asp

It will be showing every Sunday nights. I strongly recommend you to watch that show on PAX channel.

Yeah I love that show... I sometime miss that show on Sunday night but lately I'm trying to regularly watch that show... Sue Thomas's so much better than Marlee Matlin :scatter:

I met Deanne Bray and a few of the other actors/actresses at MayFest in Toronto.
The real story behind Sue Thomas is really cool.
I found it funny that she got the job when the FBI had trouble with a video tape, and needed help.
"You can read read lips?" asked the agent.
"Yes" answered Sue Thomas.
"Do you watch TV?" asked the agent.

I like the idea behind it, but it's just written so cheesily that I can't really get into it. Then again, I find most TV shows to be horribly written so.....

I agree with the cheese factor. But the cheesiest TV show is 7th Heaven, period.

I barely can watch that show without a barf bag by my side.

I look forward to this show every Sunday! Yes, it can be a bit 'cheesy' at times, but hey...I think it's nice to have an almost guaranteed happy ending once a week.

Sabrina, I watched the video interview of Deanne in the DeafNation article you mentioned. As a hearing woman who's picked up a few signs here and there, I think I only recognized 2 from the video....family and friends. Would you, or anyone else, be willing to tell me what all was said in the interview? Deanne looks so animated, I'd love to know what she was saying! Please pm me and I'll give you my email address.

I had the opportunity to meet Deanne and Troy this summer after seeing them in Big River. They were both so kind and patient! It was a real pleasure to meet them.

I think they are both very different. Marlee is more dramatic and is more proficient in sign language and emotions than Deanne Bray. If I remember, I don't think she grew up using signs. I am not sure thought, but I read somewhere that she says that she didn't believe that people could read lips before. It sounds like she's more hard of hearing. She used to be a teacher for deaf children.

I think that Marlee should have a tv show of her own, but I want it on regular channels than cable since I can't afford cable. They should have her use signs and have a voice of someone for those who are clueless about signs and keep CC for us who aren't proficient. It's time for a change, and there's no reason peole won't be interested--only if it's not cheesy or dumb like some tv shows.

Marlee HAD a show of her own Reasonable Doubts. it was cancelled due to low ratings :-X

I always watched that show, I meet real Sue Thomas in person, she come to the college as guest speaker in Ohio in March 2002. She just found out that she has MS.

Hehe. Yea I love that show. That's the whole reason I found this site.

I know of a show that's even cheesier than 7th Heaven. Ever seen the Brady Bunch. Hahaha.

Last Sue Thomas: FBEye

The last episode of the season has been announced... Endings and Beginnings number 313 (Season 3 Episode 13). It is due to air sometime in May. While we are not sure if any more movies may come at a later date, or if the series may continue at another time, it appears this is at the least the season finale. Thanks to everyone who did what they could to ask PAX and SONY to continue the series in any form.

I saw this on PAX TV website this morning and wanted to pass it on...ITPjohn

Goodbye Sue Thomas: FBEye

I saw this on the PAX TV website from another fan of the show. The odds of another financial backer aren't very good. :sadwave:

"In response to my inquiry, PAX TV wrote me an official letter confirming the cancellation of the show due to a pull out of finances by SONY Corporation. They said that PAX would, in fact, want the show to continue if they had another financial backer."

That is sad, but on the other hand, it's understandable since it was so incredibly cheesy!
