My videos is on my flashdrive. And i'm trying to put them on Sony vegas. But i'm not sure if its going to work but anyways.

I have my flashdrive on the computer. and I was going to test the video to make sure its working. But then when the movie media player popped up, there was no picture from the video. only sounds. And i don't know why it's doing that. But i'm using the flashdrive on the 2nd computer which is in the living room. It seems to be working on the other computers. Except for the living room computer. So i have no idea what's going on.

Help!!

Ok I've had issue an issue before. I believe it's your media player needed update. I have M$ Windows Media Player 11 and it works like charm. MP 10 had an issue and it need plug-ins updated then it'll run just fine.

Secondly, If you use cheap flashdrive, It's an issue because of transfer speed is slow or not fast enough for video.

Flashdrive which is a bit more expensive works better. I have Cruizer 8GB flash drive that will read video file quickly and video works nicely. While I use 2 or 4 GB cheap flash drive that I bought it less than 10 bucks can't do well.

You might want to experiment it.

i found out that the videos from my flashdrive only works on quickplay. But then another issue with my flashdrive with the videos on it is that it is not allowing me to import my videos to Sony Vegas Movie Studios.

It says that the video can not be opened when i tried importing it. is there another way? I'm using Sony Vegas Movie Studio 9

Ahh make sense. :Hmm: I just watch Youtube about Sony Vegas Movie Studios. Interesting. What type of Movie file did you have in your flashdrive. When you tried to open movie file on Sony Vegas file window, Do you have option to select type of file on bottom (file type) and select correct file to open?

I have an AVI file for my videos on my flash drive. I don't know what the option is on the sony vegas movie studio. and as for the option to select the type of file for my videos, it won't allow me to import them into the movie studio. i don't know why. it said that it cannot be opened if i tried importing it.

Since my videos are working fine on quickplay, i'm guessing that i might have to change the video file to .MOV. because i found out from youtube or something like that, that quickplay video files are .MOV. and the video file i'm using now is .AVI, which i'm thinking thats the problem why it won't convert. its either that or my flashdrive is really screwed up.

I do not think that youtube allows anyone to save the file (movie) on their computer. I assume that the video clips on youtube are related to an Adobe Flash software. I don't know how to save a movie clip by using the Flash from the internet like youtube.

Oh really! How can I add something with addon to my FireFox? Sorry, I am not familiar with the addon.

I think that you might be interested to watch the oldest movie clip of Indian people used their sign language in a teepee. I was impressed. Here is the link: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1C0eZoa6cOY[/ame]

You can try Video File converter to convert from .AVI to .MOV. Try experiment with Any Video Converter, Xiliosoft Video Converter, and several more.

Like I mentioned about on other Forum "DVD Converter for Blackberry", I used it for my Blackberry to watch converted DVD movie. I also used Any Video Converter Professional to convert AVI to FLV file so I can upload to Youtube easily.

It's worth a try and see if it works.

I figured it out. i just needed to change my video files from .AVI to .MOV. sometimes i would need to do .mp4. I wanted to convert some youtube videos to sony vegas. i don't really want to use a downloadable program to actually convert the youtube videos. I just want to do it on a website online for free because its more faster and i can get my project done faster that way. I tried : www.online.movavi.com, Online FLV Converter - Directly convert online FLV/YouTube to AVI/WMV/MP4/MOV/3GP/MP3/iPod/PSP, Media Convert - free and on line - convert and split sound, ringtones, images, docs -, etc. none of them really helped me at all. I also tried keepvid.com, vixy.com, and so on. I had a convertable video online that works but on sony vegas it didnt show any picture when it got converted from a youtube video to an AVI or MOV or MP4 video. so now i have another problem...

I am just wondering if it is a possible for you to change the extension. Like this hello.AVI to hello.MOV - manually. Please make sure that you copy your original file first before you change it. Let us know if it works.

no. you need to convert it, not just simply change the extension. For example - it's like rebranding a Honda car as BMW. It doesn't work like that. What Catty suggested is excellent - Any Video Converter. I've used it and it's a good simple program.

I believe that you are right about that. Actually, my Mac can export it using QuickTime Player.
