I tried out many many many different strange food from food network and
wow...

My mom always buy same ol foods from the grocery store.

Because of food network, I tried capers, crawfish, pepper jelly, sun dried tomato, guacamole, couscous, corizo, pine nuts, and other stuff....

I made homemake coconut cake, and I had a hard time open up the coconut, I had to use a hammer.

Next I will try mascarpone because I am curious about that. If I can find it at the store.

Have you guys ever do that??? Try new stuff?

My mom makes coconut cakes once in a while and I really love it. Sigh, I wish I was having some right now.
My aunt makes pepper jelly and I like it spreaded on a cracker with some cream cheese.

Southwestern Easter Ham

Ingredients:

1 5- to 6-pound half ham, spiral-sliced

1 8-ounce jar hot pepper jelly

Directions:

Place ham in shallow pan and heat in 350º F. oven, uncovered, for 40 minutes. Pour the pepper jelly over ham, spreading evenly. Heat for 10-15 minutes more, basting occasionally. Serve hot.

Yeah I love watching the different shows on Food Network. I love to play with different kinds of food and they give tons of new ideas and show different kinds of foods to try. I love capers and pine nuts too!

What is your favorite Food Network show? I love "Everyday Italian" with Giada DeLaurentiis. Her food looks so damn fancy but really, it is very easy to make. I even bought her cookbook which shows most of the popular recipes from her show. She uses marscarpone cheese a lot too- I think you can find it in the deli section of your grocery store (which usually carries the fancier or more unusual cheeses). I learned how to grill asparagus perfectly from her show. My husband usually hates vegetables but he loves those grilled asparagus!

Another favorite of mine is Paula Deen, simply because she is such a funny sweet lady and I wish I had a mom like her! I would not want to cook her recipes every day though, because a lot of them are very fattening southern recipes... but every once in a while, you gotta INDULGE! I think Paula is hilarious when she is tasting something really delicious and crosses her eyes in delight. I usually laugh out loud when I watch her show. My husband thinks I am a loony!

I think Rachael Ray is alright, not my favorite but she does have really good recipes for quick dinners. And easy to do too cuz you can usually use stuff that you already have in your house, no reason to go and buy fancy unusual stuff.

Like me my family makes the same old same old, except they don't believe organic foods are good. Lovely living with them since I have tonnes of food allergies but they don't give a peeps horse.

I'am drinking some Organic Roasted Hojicha Tea I found at a Health Store, this stuff is unbelievable.

I can't eat pasta unless it's organic wheat but even then I still react to carbs, probably gluten although the test is so unreliable..........I love vermicelli but most of it smells almost like cow manure or soemthing too......yikes, have to buy organic.

I can't touch any apple unless it's organic because to me they taste like poison, witht he preservatives, especially the green non-organic, watch them in your bowl for 5 weeks, they will not change color at all!

I used to love making rice and putting a few almond tea bags into the water as it was boiling, THAT was incredible, of course ma and pops don't like anything unusual........same old same old, gheeeeeeeeeeeeez!

We just got food net. I love it because cooking is the only thing domestic Mr. Z will do. Now that it's new again he's been cooking some. I love to try new foods. Of course I weigh 200#.

My hubby call'n me.. "Horny for Foods"

I love watch Food Network any kind showing...
