seen it happen elsewhere, and now i feel its happening here.

So does Bloomberg TV according to a report this morning. If they put out an article later I will link it. High inventories + high unemployment + slow growth etc etc etc

 I hear Bill Clinton is the stag party Czar. To bad the economic out look isn't that funny. I would post more but gotta sell sell sell! J/k

Funny - I was thinking about this while donating things. The people at ReStore were telling me that the TV's are not selling. I went into the store and saw the TV's. There were a bunch bigger than 50 inches for $50-60 that were nice. They're just not selling.

People "have what they need" basically.

As far as technology goes, it doesn't even cost a "fortune" anymore to get nicer, newer things. Meaning that just a few years ago a huge flat screen was THOUSANDS of dollars. Now you can get a decent 48 inch (I just got one right after Christmas, so I know firsthand) on sale for about $450. Now, I know there's a difference between $50-60 and $450, but that difference is considered insignificant compared to $50-60 and $3,000.

As someone in New York told a politician, I can't eat an ipod.

Umm the article cites a need to return to the Policies of Volcker..... :hmm: wasn't he just part of the advisory staff?

Exactly. Not expensive, meaning a lot more people buy. Then the mentality sets in "I don't need this or that, i already have it."

Ie: Everyone buys an Ipad2, will everyone buy an Ipad3? Multiply that many times over for all kinds of stuff. Radio? Why not use a Ipad instead of an actual radio?

It's also a fact that shows even more clearly when a friend of mine got a very very nice 52 inch tv for free. I gave my 50 inch 1080p away for free too.

So, no more buying, less people working, inflation... Things are gonna get expensive.

The problem with our economy is that it's based on the premise of exponential growth. That kind of economic growth can't be sustained too long. The bubble bursts and we're on to the next cycle.
