There has been alot of talk about spiritual warfare as of late here ,with some very good points being made. But what about our own brothers and sisters, in our own spiritual homes we call churches? What really is this thing called slaying in the spirit?, Holy laughter? Do we test the spirits?, does God allow us to test what we may believe is the Holy Spirit? "if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different different gospel which you have not accepted--you may well put up with it ! "

The answer is a resounding yes ! "Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God; Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ came in the flesh is of God. and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was comming, and is now already here."

What a wonderfull God we have, who has given us a powerfull sword to test the spirits, a simple question for faithfull believers who know deception is quite possible in todays churches, do you want to be deceived? Simply open your Bible to 1 John chap. 4 and ask those who are laughing uncontrolably, or writhing on the floor; "Did Jesus Christ come in the flesh?" Surly if this truly is the Holy Spirit, the answer will be a definitive yes !

Why is testing the spirits so important? " The comming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all ununrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness."

While I strongly support that everybody is entitled to their own beliefs, I also think that the most important thing we can teach people in today's world is understanding, tolerance, and patience. There are so many belief systems / religions in the world, that we should EMBRACE our differences, instead of using them as reasons to promote hate, violence, and discord.

Myself? I'm Wiccan, and although I don't believe in God, or Buddha, or whomever you call your spiritual entity, I will fight tooth and nail to support your right to believe that way if that is the belief they have. I just wish there were more people like me in the world - it would be a much less violent place to live, if there were.

Speaking for myself, I'm a complete atheist.

However, I have always been a firm believer that everyone has a right to their own beliefs and I'm prepared to fight for the freedom of religon and from religon.

Athough Americia has the most freedom of worship, many native american do not have the right to practice their own native religon.

Native americans are allowed to worhip their native religion now. They host pow wows all over the USA now--there is one hosted in my hometown this weekend and I may go tmw. I am not sure if they are allowed to use drugs such as cannibis or peyote, etc --made from plants and no chemicals. Maybe only on their reservations but not sure tho.Yes, they were not allowed to practice their reiligion not that long ago in 20th century.
