Sorenson 911

Guys guys guys, this is getting point less, and time wasting.

Heres the HARD fact:

Yes, SorensonVRS provide VRI for 911 calls after 911 calls are being placed. Its silly to not provide VRI if its actually life threatening situtation exists there.

I have done 911 few months ago and they do VRI. (they did say that they are not billing FCC on this, only the calls between party to operator, once the help arrive, the interpreter end the calls billing.)

Dennis, if you continue to make those ridicious statement saying that it is not possible, well, im sorry, but its already a HARD fact, it happened. You work for Sprint, why are they not making any progress with 911, and if they are, where is the published data regarding this as Sorenson have press release about 911?

Why does everyone expect us to just believe whatever they say? Why not just post a cite proving your claims? It's so much easier to do than spend 4 pages arguing about it.

Because VRS is a BUSINESS. And as a business, there is a considerable amount of confidential and proprietary information that CANNOT be posted. Does Intel share information with AMD? Does Honda share information about their technology with Toyota? Does Apple share with Microsoft? It is RIDICULOUS to expect that any company or employee of that company to share the secrets that make that company have a competitive edge.

How is this a big secret? How is revealing this going to hurt their business? I would argue that it may actually help their business. Keeping it a secret for business reasons, as you state, looks bad for them. It appears that they are billing the FCC for VRI. Saying, "Oh, we would never do that!" isn't enough to counter that appearance.

It's best to wait until the system work far better with videophone for quick track and given details to emergency operation.

Landline is, still much quick to know where location you're call from while ip-address don't make enough specfic where you're at. I still have my tty at home, just in case.

If you never keep, or throw it away TTY, I don't think you deserver to be part of deaf community.

You can always use your useless Sidekick to dial 911 and have to wait 15 to 30 minutes for them to track GPS and send, usually, policeman to find what's wrong. If someone is injury, it gonna add MORE time to call for medical, and would cost some your life.

TTY with landline is STRONG SUGGEST to keep at home, or have cellphone with TTY compatible to talk for better details of trouble.

I wonder when you guy understand all those stuff. If you have any question about 911 with Sorenson system. Why not you just simple call tech support and they can answer your question as possible. Their VP tech support num is 801-287-9403.

Do you guy understand what qwerty123 has said to you guy?

If I'm in an emergency and that is all I have, it is not STUPID to try it. The VP doesn't fit in my pocket.

from what I hear that that person call (relay service) or send msg (text-msg or e-mail) to someone to call medical for her/him. Way to waste time on someone's life. :(

I can't imagine that if 911 on VP, as the person is in half-to-death and the agent screamed and wouldn't know where excatly that person come from and maybe die as well. Wouldn't know where the heck location she/he live at if that person didn't give enough details. eh eh.

Maybe someone shot him in live front of agent, ohman oh man, she or he gonna be barf out.
