Son tried to kill his Deaf parents in house fire.

Oh wow, that's very sad and this deaf parent will lose the adult son because adult son will probably receive a long time in the prison, possibly life sentence.

Hmm i think it's better that way, out of privacy reason ya know. You don't want media all over you, like how it happened to Princess Diana.
 
Deputies said Blanton reported the fire after he awoke to smoke inside the home, then woke up his parents, who were able to get out of the home safely.

Did he actually wake them up to get out? If so, then why was he charged with attempted murder?

OK, he did that because obviously he wanted his parents to die in fire but why did he wake them up anyway? It doesn't make sense. Maybe he was lying about it. Maybe the parents awoke themselves to smoke inside and got out safely. Thus that's probably why he was charged with attempted murder. Know what I mean? His parents' side of the story is not mentioned at all.

This is not about deafness. This is about a major drug addiction that consumes a persons mind and causes them to do ANYTHING to get it. Sad, really.

No, what's sad is that a family is destroyed and left wondering where they failed. And a young man, who may never have had a good head on his shoulder, will probably spend his life in jail. That's a tragedy whether the parents are deaf or not....

I never tried to kill my parents but then I'm also not dead weight. A real warning is a child that's not a working or an active participant in society, who's living at home rent free, and expecting his parents to pay for the pleasure of having him as a son....they should have gotten help to have him forcibly removed.
