I formatted my hard drive completely the first time and installed my windows xp pro with SP1...

guess what, everything is running faster and smooter. not only that but my dsl is now almost up to 3mbs i was like wtf? cant be!! because my dsl is supposed to be up to 1.5mb... but now up to 3mbs as it seems like a cable modem lol..

try linux ... i have downloaded 600mb of fedora on my rh 9.0, it took me 20 mintues finsihed downloaded.. compare to my win2k download takes 2 hours finsih downloaded. werid huh

you probably had a lot of spyware on your computer prior to formatting the HDD.

i beleive somewhere around 90% of all computer users have spyware of some sort on their computer - spyware takes up your resources and causes a major headache and slowdown.

if you dont have spysweeper or some other spyware sweeping program (virus sweeping program does NOT work on this) then you willl get a slow computer again in the future.
