Pooch Rushed Inside Home When Family Opened Door

YUMA, Ariz. -- A runaway dog darted into an Arizona apartment and found a cool place to hide - the bottom of the refrigerator.

A Yuma Fire Department spokesman says the family told firefighters the pooch rushed into their home when they opened the front door and kept snapping at them.

When they went to the fridge to get some food to try to lure the dog outside, the animal jumped in the appliance and refused to come out.

Firefighters found the small black terrier-type dog crouched on the bottom shelf, snapping at anyone who approached. They used protective gear to pick up the pooch and put it in a carrier.

The dog had been reported missing by someone else at the apartment complex and was returned home safely.

This remind of me of when I lived in Berkeley Ca. with my baby and friend with her kids. We left the back door open as it was a nice day . We where hanging out in the kitchen and a little black timid dog walked into our kitchen and she when around the room sniffing each corner until when she found the corner she liked best the dog walked a round in a circular 3 times then lies down and looked up at us as if to say I am home! And she was!

Yes, we kept her and called her Mama Bear! She looked like a little bear. My friend kept her when we moved into our own place. We took in a few dogs and rescue a Saint Bernard that was not being fed! The people across street from our apartment was staving the poor dog to turn it into a watch dog! The dog was outside 24/7 so my friend and untie the dog and brought it home and made a huge pot of food for it! The poor dog had an infection in a paw and we took care of that. Then we called a Saint Bernard rescue place and they took the dog! The owner came looking for their dog! My friend and
