Diamondback (my cat) confused windows to be actually open.... he would try to pounce on an innocent bird and realized there is an invisible barrier between both of them! He knows very well that he is not allowed to be outside by himself so whenever I come home, he will sit RIGHT there by the screened door but he never tries to bolt out.. (he used to when he was younger! BAD BAD CAT!) he knows it is futile for him to bolt out. There will be angry humans chasing after him and eventually catching him!
