Skating Party for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Kids - Phoenix Hearing Loss & Parenting | Examiner.com

Are you looking for something to do with your child this Saturday? Arizona Hands and Voices is hosting a Cool Ice Skating Party Saturday July 29, 2012 at 1pm at the Polar Ice in Gilbert. Cost is just $4 per person including skates. Find out how to get there through Google.maps.

This is a wonderful opportunity to stay cool and hang out with other families with children who experience hearing loss. Even if you don't have a child with a hearing loss, but you have an interest in helping such families, check out their website and get involved.

"Arizona Hands and Voices is a nationwide non-profit organization dedicated to supporting families and their children who are deaf or hard of hearing, as well as the professionals who serve them. We are a parent-driven, parent/professional collaborative group that is unbiased towards communication modes and methods. Our diverse membership includes those who are deaf, hard of hearing, and their families who communicate orally, with signs, cue, and/or combined methods. We exist to help our children reach their highest potential."
