Hate to say it, ladies. But, we build MOST of our bone mass in our childhood and teen years. If you don't have enough by the time you're childbearing, you're pretty much screwed. Once you hit your mid to late 30s, calcium begins leeching from the bones. Women are more likely to get osteoprosis then men. Men generally have more bone mass then women; this is why.
There are exception to this, ofc. People who have an eating disordered history are prone to osteopenia and osteoprorosis. That's men and women alike. I'm sure there are other groups that are at risk as well.
As for that list, I'm very screwed. About the only thing I disagree with is the vitamin foods. I would NOT stop eating foods rich in vit A because you put yourself at risk for deficiencies and problems in other areas. But, as for the rest of it, it's good info. It's also good to cut out some of that crap. Speaking as the true hypocrite that I am when it comes to caffeine! :roll:
