Sinkhole Near Walt Disney Florida Resort

Florida is one big marsh that people just keep building on. I'm not surprised about there being a lot of sinkholes in Florida.

yeah the marsh for Fl, I guess I did read some time back about that but had forgotten...and I guess with the Everglades it's understandable.

Talking about sinkhole near Disney World, mmmm I hope there's no holes under all the rides, I hope they keep checking out to make sure that there's no rides are about to collapsed.

The sink near Disney World is getter B I G G E R ! That would be tough job to do . What a scary thought !
 
We don't really have "dirt" here in Florida, we have sand. If you go outside and dig a hole, sure you'll see some dirt, but mostly sand mix. Not so mention all the water. When you pile that on with all these heavy structures... sink holes happen. I've never seen one in my life of living here... ( Thankfully ) But they're in the damn news all the time... -_-
 
I wonder how many trucksful of dirt or sand it is going to take to fill/repair this Disney property?
 
Most sink holes here are filled in, but they don't ever recommend rebuilding on them... as they're still a sink hole... o.o So we'll see... Disney has tons of money... Anything is possible for them... lol

Ya nailed it! And pretty low water table elevation to add to the uncertainty.
