What do you guys think of Sutton SignWriting? I'm trying to learn it so I can write new words I learn down in BSL. The only thing is it looks like it could be a little clumsy for writing BSL.

Does anyone here use it? If you do maybe you can give me a few pointers on how to use it properly.

Is BSL a written language like ASL is not? Hope the question makes sense....

No natural sign languages have a natural written form.

Well, I wouldn't go that far! It is VERY difficult, but I think once you learn all the shapes, arrows and everything, it can be very easy! I can write my name in SignWriting (only with the ASL alphabet though). It doesn't seem as hard as it looks.
