EMERGENCY signs cards have been handed out to firefighters to help them communicate with deaf people in the town.
The cards have been designed to help fire crews get their message across quickly and effectively to deaf residents during an emergency with basic sign language graphics.
Evan Morris, head of community safety, said: "We are always looking for ways to better the service we give to the deaf community and these cards will help to provide a valuable link between residents who are deaf or hard of hearing and our fire crews."
The cards are available from any Deafness Support Network centre or fire station or text 07624 808300 to have one posted.
