Right now the beard I sport is a bit out of control. I am thinkin of doing a pure Mutton Chop.

Mutton Chop's were ugly in the 1800's and still are. If you hate your beard, my opinion is to try clean shaven or a thin Clark Gable mustache.

No Mutton Chop's!!!

In fact I am forming a society at this moment.

Well, it would most certainly fit in the town I live in. Everyone would think it's nice. Of course that won't go well out in Iowa :P

So deciding on it.....
 
The underlying reason is that I want to be a civil war solider for halloween - so i think i need to grow it out and see where it takes me!
 
Didn't mutton chops go out with Millard Filmore? I'm not a fan.
 
Definitely not a Mutton Chops fan at all :( It looks old-fashioned to me. Besides I practically hate everything that has to do with hair in the face :giggle: But that's just me... If it fits you, go with it ;)
 
Ohhh OK. I just saw your pics... I don't think you're well suited for mutton chops. Try shaving it all off and see what you look like.

Ohhhhh i am a mixed with old fashion and modern chickie. I think you would look good in any form of facial hair /beard such as goatee, mutton chop (sorry chicks), mustache styles and go on. I know mutton chop is the diffiuclt one. My friend who tried it in a long thin mutton chops. He looks hot but He could not keep up with it. So he did stick with very thin beard on chin only. I dont know what's it called. :)

edit: trimming & thinner hair, not too much of hair.

Ok, I'll let this thing grow out another week or so... Then go to the gay barber I use once in a while so he can do it.

I trust him more than myself when it comes to hair, soooo..
 
I personally think the mutton chops would look awful, but if that's your goal for Halloween then go for it, just switch to something else or clean shaven soon after. I can't believe that those were even popular!!! :giggle:

I did a friendly mutton chop.

this is a horrible webcam picture but hey, better than nothing?

A lot of people commented on it, and there were some interesting reactions from people - I was told I looked like I was ready to kick some ass.

There's some awesome pictures from halloween last night on a few digital cameras that hasnt made its way to facebook yet.
