Quake jolts San Francisco region - U.S. Life - MSNBC.com

Like I say, was kidding about about blaming that certain donkey..hehe... I know I probably will get massive heat for this.. oh well.. all I can say I was rolling with the punches on that..haha..

Yea, as a Native Californian.....I'm used to earthquakes and I've felt about 5 or 6 times since my lifetime. The 4.1 earthquake isn't really a big deal to many Californians like me and other folks.

Seattle had a 6.8 earthquake on Feb 28, 2001 and it caused substainable damage and one death, yes only ONE. It wasn't much major damage because the quake was centered about 30+ miles deep underground.

I remember lots of side to side shaking and a little bit of rolling when I was on the computer at 10:54 AM. I ran under the desk and I saw out the window that the power lines were swaying around along with power poles, weird. The house suffered minor damage to the foundation.

i remmy feeling it when it was 4.7 when i was living at Mountain HOme.. it was wild ride... alot of up and down... whew! all dogs were barking.. then all of sudden earthquake hit... wow.. it was not the only one i felt.. i have felt 3 times already... ha..

I didn't feel nothing, it happened in SF since, I am in southern California. Yes, I wonder what kind of action was happening and the certain donkey to be responsiblie:giggle: I am glad to hear no one was injured.

well since my brother lives in SF area with his wife and baby i am sure they were jolted in the early hour for the 2nd time they have experienced this year

I was affected from 1994 Northridge earthquake, that's bad for sure.

I was hit my head on wall so hard and cause to small bruise on my back of head, just under hair and feel shake like shit then called my parent to tight me down, that's horrible.

Remember about SF earthquake in 1989, that is so horrible because double decker highway were demolished due bad damage, also it called Cypress Viaduct.

Yes, I remember pretty good. That earthquake was on my birthday! I remember lots of rolling and shaking back and forth when I was living in Sebastopol. Lot of my toy cars I had fell off the shelf, lol. I was playing NES featuring Super Mario Bros. with my dad when it happened. (it was my birthday gift)

Seq i was at CSDF when thw quake hit, OMG i was walking in to sign in from town letting others know i was back theni was going to go eat and then do my homework well that shot it down right out of the water, then i remmy one gal AK throwing her phone i was like what u doing! and then i relize the quake was starting so I ran under the desk in the back at cottage 4 OMG thats a quake i'll never forget and the recent one here on the big island 6.6 quake compared to a 7.1 i was like OMG not again! i was asleep when we got awaken! Damn!

Wow, Javapride. That's crazy! Thanks for sharing your story! :)

Actually, on the news said that Oakland had 4.2 on ritcher (sp?) scale at 4:40 this morning, no serious damages or injuries at all... Safeway, donut store has window damages from quake this morning but not very serious. And the guy who works at safeway said that it was so lucky that we do not have 24 hours when it happened when the window glass fell on to the cash register from top. Whew!!!!!

WOW!

In 1990 or 1991 (not sure which year it was) I was laying in the bed at night, and felt the quake (it was in Reno, NV) and told my adopted mom that I felt it. She didn't believe me. So I said ok..I went to the store (work or something I don't remember) and saw the newspaper...ahhh there's a proof! I showed it to her and she gulped. HA! It wasn't heavy quake..just light quake.

I remembered '89 earthquake!!!

And other one when I was in Los Angeles. I was working over night (just before I moved to Rochester) and felt the quake. I thought somethings wrong with my leg! And then all of sudden it stopped. I puzzled..I ran to turn the light on and saw the vertical blinds moved. AHHH! That was earthquake! So I checked on everyone (old people can get a heart attack from it) and everyone was fine..most slept though it. And I had to report the paper to let my boss know what happening. (Even 911 too)

Funny thing...after we left Los Angeles in late of March 2000, DHB and I rode on Amtrak back to Rochester (that when I moved), and we missed the tornado in Houston, TX (I think) by few hours! And other one just right before 9/11 we flew home and a day after or two earthquake hit Los Angeles (I think that was mild) and DHB said DAMNIT! Why every time we missed it something had going on (such as tornado, earth quake etc). I told him I dunno! LOL!

I have never seen tornado or hurriance. Someday I'll see it with my own eye! I know it is not pretty thing to see it but I wanna to see it for ONCE.
