Sex Offenders Who Violate Parole Walk Free

An Island for Sex Offenders...sort of like a Leaper Colony....feel every State should have one.

We need to reopen Alcatraz and send all the sex offenders there.

Parents, guardian, neighbor, good Samaritan and so on. You need to think outside of the box.
I always do but you don't. Sex offenders never commit the crime in public. They take kids somewhere people can't see. Where is the neighbor? Shopping? Where are the parents? Working? Good Samaritan, where?

2a means nothing to sex offenders. That's why alot of them are still alive.

You need to think outside of the box.

We also need to reevaluate what we label as a "sex offense". We should not be filling up prisons and labeling kids as "sex offenders" for life because one of the couple was barely over the line of being two much older than the other. I have read stories of classmates caught by this by a DA trying to make a name for themselves by being "tough on crime".

Have you answered my question #11? It is fun question to answer. :)

never? Don't you forget the father of daughter who raped by pedophile killed pedophile with eye for eye right in heart of Texas? It happened outside in public! Never said NEVER, cause sometimes pedo do rape, kids do scream to get attention.. Once they get attention by a armed guy, that Pedo is going to piss in his pants for sure!

Behind a barn? In public still!

Father Who Killed Daughter's Alleged Molester Won't Face Charges In Lavaca County, Texas

Behind a barn? In public still!

The kids will be traumatized for very long time and their life will be ruined.

I prefer to lock the sex offenders in confined space before they victimize other people.

Its easier to shoot their balls and dick off so that they can't rape again.

Just like the movie called "Sudden Impact"

The kids will be traumatized for very long time and their life will be ruined.

I prefer to lock the sex offenders in confined space before they victimize other people.

A witness saw the pedo taking a girl and her father heard the screams. That's how the pedo was caught behind a barn on a private property (that's what I meant by "somewhere people can't see"). In public means a place where people are around.

Which state has most overcrowded prison in the US?

Hint: It is not California. It is in state that where sweet tea is popular.

Oh wow, CP seems not want to answer since he's too busy to battle with DHB.

The answer is Alabama - 190% overcapacity.

It is much worse than California.

Not MUCH worse......

Not MUCH worse......

I think percent of overcapacity in CDCR is dropping due to court order but percent in Alabama is increased to 193% as 2013.

It may hit 200% mark within few years if they don't fix it.

Seriously, the best solution to the problem is of course 2A!, but not just that alone, other ways that needs to be done... I would love to see expansion of labor camp like in China got them, or boot camp, either way. Especially repeat offenders or three strike, kick in labor camp. The reason behind many people decided to go jail is because they can't afford pay rent, food, medical expenses which is NOT acceptable. If they knew there is too much work at labor camp, they would end up rather work at mcdonald flipping burgers than go to labor camp...bam! decline in prison population.

There is old saying

"Spare a rod, spoils a child"

The labor camp does exist in US but only applies to low risk inmates with less likely to escape.

What happen if inmates refuse to work at all? I'm sure they rather to stay in solitary confinement rather than hard working in the camp.

Note: The society in China maybe different so it won't work in US.

exactly the problem. When they are released, they were already trained to do nothing for too long, and they lost all the motivation to work. Damage is done. And they will come back no matter what UNTIL they realize there is no free loader and all work than do nothing in prison. They will say oh shit, I rather stay out of prison.

I mean forced labor constantly, preferred minimum 12 hours a day with couple days apart for minimal work like maybe 4 hours each (5 days 12 hours, 2 days 4 hours). Trust me, once that goes in effect, people will do anything to stay out of prison. That way, they would tell themselves, it is better to work just 40 hours a week with two days row off than work 68 hours week at prison in harsh environment. Of course, the sentence will be reduce greatly perhaps 1/4 of actual time is sufficient.
China not applicable? Don't you realize that Chinese are far more workaholic than America, wondering why? They all know they got labor camp and don't want deal with it. And Corporations loves Asian people, they hire them faster than Americans. How hard is it to figure out?

Wirelessly posted

Sadly in the United States we can not force inmates to work. It falls under the cruel and unusal punishment. Now if the judge orders community hours and they refuse then their "jail or probation time" is extended. In the State of Florida DOC they used to have inmates grow their own food and work on cattle ranches. Too many mommies called and complained that their babies(inmates) are being forced to work. So it is a shame that inmates have more rights than the good people of this wonderful country.

Chinese people are historically hardworking people due to different culture and society, also they run the labor camp for many years.

We had labor camp as common practice during British colony in North America and American Revolution. The economy, culture, punishment and others were very different in 1776 and today.

I considered your statement about labor camp is effective to American inmates as hypothesis, but what are you doing if labor camp with 12 hours minimum isn't effective? American inmates are very rebellious and the guard couldn't go beyond the constitutional limit to take them down.

Like I said - different society. Americans are more rebellious than Chinese.

Most companies prefer China and India because of cheap labor but I don't think hardworking is big factor because Chinese workers are becoming more rebellious after they fed with companies due to overworking, lack of sleep, little food, etc.

BTW, California and Oregon do have forced labor camp.

We could force inmates to work, long as meet the constitutional limit - California and Oregon have forced labor camp. You have to choose - work or stay in confinement with less food, less privilege, longer prison time.

It is just like reward - if you clean the bathroom so I will buy a chocolate candy bar or Happy Mac.

You are correct about refuse to do community service or labor means longer prison time.

I thought child molesting was more a symptom of a problem......Like virtually all of them are siginificently mentally ill. If that is the problem then put them in an insistution for the criminally insane for life!

So are you suggesting that there is no solution but to release sicko waiting to hurt next victim?
