okay, as I was watching some "law and order : suv" on TV tonight something about twins assumed of an incest thingy or whatever like that...but later on the cops got it all messed up thinking that both opposite sex twins would be in somewhat of a sexual act relationship or whatever like that but anyway, when the doctor turned in and give them the files about the re-issued birth certifite saying that the "girl" of a twin sister was actually born a BOY!
so...why was he raised to be a girl instead of a boy while the other twin boy is still raised as a boy as it should be that way?
because the parents wanted a girl...they didn't want to have two boys so they took one boy to a sex therapist and he recommened them that the boy should have the sex change orperation and be turned into a girl...to be treated like a girl...act like a girl,etc...

but the truth is, you can't change their sex identity. only themselves can. It's like you can't change someone's life for the better...only them can change it themselves because it's their business and their life.

but years later when the boy, raised as a "girl" got caught kissing another girl and they hit the roof saying that "he" shouldn't do that ever again or other people would consider "him" a "lesbian"...etc.
but when he was a child, he was forced to put on dresses, but he kept ripping them...and one doctor noticed that the boy had "scars" down his private area...and that's because he had sex change surgey!

I mean...how sick is that? how fucking sick is that to force one of your child to be raised of the opposite sex even though they can't help themselves but just have a way of their life by being the gender that they are, and the horomoes that controls by the gender, etc...would never be changed because you can't change the person, you know? so that's why he as "she" likes girls...because "she" is actually a boy!

so what do you think? is the sex change operation still good or bad? or that you think it should be SHUT DOWN for good?

you decide.

Should be SHUT down for good.

:) There are cases where the doctors screw up the gender of infants and thus reassigned them to a different gender roles to suit them as they grow up.

One case was told in my GENS 321 (Gay/Lesbians Issues in Modern World) regarding to twin boys. They were taken to the doctor for their circumcisions... The doctor went fine with one boy, but another boy didn't recieve the same fate. Apparently the doctor cut off too much than he should had... so as the doctor explained this to the parents, the parents accepted the doctor's idea to raise the second boy as a girl to spare the confusion due to the fact that the second son has no visible penis.
The son and "daughter" actually grew up that way-- until 21th birthday when the son told the "daughter" that "she" was actually a "he"... "She" was rejoiced at this fact because "she" grew up feeling wrong being in a woman's body and never really accepted "herself" as a woman.... soon as "she" found out about this, "she" immediately threw off the dress and dressed up in men's fashion and ended up marrying a woman (a real woman)...
But if "she" grew up as a woman, doesn't it make "her" a lesbian if "she" marries a woman? After all "she" cannot procreate with no penis.

Genders are confused nowadays. YOu cannot just identify who is a "man", who is a "woman" easily by their gential organs. What about those who are hermadropties and have BOTH gential organs??

It is safe to wait for a child to grow up and ask "what gender do you want to be?"
There is a study proved that the children aged four cannot tell whether the perosn is a man or woman when the person is NAKED yet they can tell whether the person is a man or woman based on the clothes (assumed-- a woman wear a dress et cetera)... THEY ONLY LEARN WHAT IS THEIR "GENDER"... opposed to "SEX".

This way we won't have repressed people who are confused about their sexual and gender identities! Just let the kid decide on their own! Don't let the doctor decide its sex. "IT IS A BOY!" Doesn't mean you have to raise it like a boy!

well while it's true that alot of kids can't notice the two difference of gender unless the kid sees them naked...

but as for me, when I was very little, I could almost immediately notice the difference of gender in both male and female by seeing that most girls have longer hair, wear make up, and are smaller than males...while males are bigger than females, grow hair on their face, and even have a deeper voice, etc.

I guess I was lucky to figure that out before I could even wonder which is REALLY different by having to see both of 'em naked...lol

as for some who never sees the difference in males and females...I sure feel sorry for them.

I ain't complain abt it, that's their life whatever they wanan to be!! not my plms!

:)

Just because a person born with 2 sex organs, doesn't mean that person is gay. And the child who sex part was removed, can show proof that he is a male, by showing them birth certificate.

I saw that episode. I think what actually happened was that the doctors were circumcising the boy and accidentally cut off too much. They explained to the parents and they agreed that it would make things easier if the boy was raised as a girl instead of the boy growing up feeling ashamed of having no penis.

I swear, if I ever had a son one day, I will NEVER get him circumized!

I don't always trust the doctors. :ugh:

*shudders* thank goodness I still have my penis. :o

if i ever have boy's, i'll have them circumsized.

i cant imagine how embarrased i would be if i was not circumsized, i dont want my son's to feel that way.

as for sex change - there should be a law that you must be 18+ to get a sex change - to prevent a sex change without the persons own consent.

unless there are medical reasons as to why they would need a sex change.

Back to topic on:
Subject about sex change.

Steel, I have pictures of sex change operation. It's not good to make the picture here but Adult section.

Its really sad that the parents dont accept the sex of their child and want change them. I have 2 sons and dont change one of them because I want a daughter. I accept what they are because I love them.

Steel, I doubt citing one example from a show is a good reason to "shut down" sex operation. Apples and oranges. Two totally different lines of thought, me thinks.

First, what those parents and the doc did was pretty horrible. That twin boy should not have had the operation. Has it happened in real life?

Secondly, having a sex change operation is a personal choice for some adults who feel like they can express themselves better through the opposite gender or for some reasons.

Cjanik brought up this topic thus my question to him in this forum.

Yes, I know.

I only add the link to let you know because some of you are newbies here and thought you all would interest to make discussion there. :thumb:

:werd: Gotta love that fruit, too. Apples and oranges! ;)

I haven't seen this episode...I think I'll have to check listings and see when it'll be on again.

I am curious why you believe in male genital mutilation and why you would be embaressed to not be circumcized.

i dont like the way it looks, and most of my ex's have told me that they dated other guy with no circumsision and they said its nasty and they were not very comfortable having sex with them.

i know there are girls out there who like it, but i guess i attract the girls who dont like it.

I'm guessing thosegirls may have proably dated guys who were circumisized first and then went *bam* with them and then after them, and going out with other guys who were NOT circumized, didn't feel comfortable doing "it" with them...that's because they aren't used to it.

of course...the dicks between circumized and UN-circumized are totally different...so maybe if she keeps doing the guy who was not circumized, then she'll get used to it. it SHOULD hurt at first, because of how the dick moves and stuff...so...that's what I'm saying.

I disagree with you regarding sex hurting with an uncircumcised penis. Sex can hurt no matter uncircumcised or circumcised if there's not enough lubrication, the penis is too big, the vagina is too short, or there's a condition called vulvodynia, etc.

Maybe he's speaking from his own experiences that he couldn't sit down for days after....?

Hehe, forgive me, Steel.. I absolutely just couldn't resist that. Tooo :ty: to pass it up.

What topics were we supposed to talk about, anyway? The validity of sex change operation?

If you want to talk about circumsision then post your opinion at circumsision thread. Check this link:

I wont answer your post here until you post this link because this thread Steel created is sex change. :P

As a queer girl, I sometimes wish that there was a way to easily switch off between sex. I love being a female....but sometimes I feel like a male. One wonders if our society's sex roles weren't so strict if people would even WANT to ID as male or female. How much of sex roles is nautral and how much is societal influance? I've read some about people deciding to have SRS, and quite a few of them realized (after the fact) that there is no such thing as a biological concept of male and female. They realized that they were simply "inbetween"
The controversy over SRS reminds me of the CI controversy.....

I totally agree. The parents are very selfish. Sex change should be for over eighteen. OR medical eason like gender problems.

uh, miss know it all, birth certificate doesn't exactly prove the person's gender. DNA does.
