Service Dogs

I have been given an opportunity to train service dogs and am wondering what you all think of it?
Have trained dogs for friends and family before but not sure about doing it for others.
Would be Chihuahuas and other small dogs from different rescues to alert to door, telephone, fire etc.

Merrilee,

"Lend Me An Ear" is the name of a book, and, according to the author, she said that of looking at either 300 or 500, only one gets chosen for a hearing dog. I have a hearing dog, Snickers, whom I trained myself. I found her after seeing six other dogs in one night, but this is the exception to the rule, of course. I also knew what I was looking for.

About Chihuahuas, I don't know, as they are pretty much a lap dog and extremely tempermental. I personally don't recommend any dog smaller than a Beagle. Hope this info helps.
