I remember few months ago trying to sell a manual reel lawn mower for $40. Someone had E mailed me asking if I would do $25. They said they would get a brand new manual reel mower for $60. Yes, they are right. You can get a manual reel mower brand new for $60. I completely understand this person's point of view. Why get an used manual reel mower for $40 when you can get a brand new one for $60?

I was polite and told him that I cannot do $25 for my mower. I held on to it thinking that I would get $40 for it. Yes, I did sell it for $40 to someone else so my gamble paid off. I was glad I got my asking price, but I do understand where other people are coming from.

Give me an example where you would understand a customer's point of view. IT does not matter if you sold or failed to make a deal with that particular customer.

I have. I sold a lady a play pen(I don't have kids, it was for dogs) I told her it was 25 firm, practically brand new and i was not going to go any lower. I asked my mom to do the deal for me. She then told me that the woman told her she won't pay any more than 15....... 15 for a new play pen??? Some customers will do their everything to try to lower the price to the point of it being very unreasonable. Some people should be veery stern/reasonable and firm with their price.
