SEC Charges Solicitor in Investment Scheme Targeting Deaf Community; 2011-181; September 9, 2011

Washington, D.C., Sept. 9, 2011 — The Securities and Exchange Commission has charged a Corinth, Texas man with securities fraud for soliciting more than $3.45 million from several thousand deaf investors in an investment scheme that the SEC halted last year.
