Seacoast National Bank, deaf and hard of hearing service offer fraud prevention seminar for Treasure Coast Deaf TCPalm Mobile (User story from )

Seacoast National Bank and the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services of the Treasure Coast

partnered recently to provide a Fraud ID / Theft Seminar for area deaf and hard of hearing.

The program was organized by Seacoast National Bank administrative assistant Karen Curran as part of Seacoast’s community outreach program. The seminar was held at the Port St. Lucie Community Center with St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Deputy Gary Gonsalves and signer Joanna Huffman on hand for the presentation.

“These are the forgotten people,” said Curran, who, with her husband, Hugh, provides a church in Port St. Lucie for the deaf. “It’s important for them to receive the same information on fraud identification and theft as everyone else. It is difficult for the deaf to obtain and understand what could happen to their personal identification through fraud and theft.”

This is the third Fraud ID / Theft Seminar provided by Seacoast along the Treasure Coast and Palm Beach County.
