SDA women donate to school for the deaf

The Women's Ministry of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in the New Juaben District on Tuesday presented items valued about GH¢1,000 to the inmates of the Unit School for the Deaf in Koforidua.

The items included bags of rice, gallons of cooking oil, play materials, tennis balls, teaching and learning materials, pineapples, watermelons, assorted fruits, provisions and toys.

Presenting the items Ms Mary Animwaa, New Juaben District Coordinator of the Women's Ministry of the church, appealed to the public to assist the physically challenged to develop their potentials.

She advised parents who hide physically challenged children at home to enrol them in schools.

The headmaster of the Koforidua Unit School for the Deaf, Mr Emmanuel Ofosu Boakye, expressed his gratitude to the donors.
