School for the Deaf students in Music Video - WNEM TV 5
Most of us enjoy music videos using both our ears and eyes, but what if you couldn't hear the tune?
Deaf Professional Arts Network or D-PAN is working to change that. They're making music videos using deaf kids signing and starring in the videos.
Before finding D-PAN Michigan School for the Deaf sixth grader Tyler Naeyaert says, "I felt like music was really just for hearing people. I could play music, but I can't sing or talk."
D-PAN recruited a couple of students from Michigan School for the Deaf in Flint for their latest project.
The students both agree making the video was an incredible experience.
They also say this is a way to show the hearing people that deaf people can make music and videos, even though they can't hear.
