Snow ball here i come. i think I'm really scared and nervous about going to my first formal dance. did all of your first formal dances go ok and everything i'm so nervous it's so hard to wait. i'm so close to just chickening out HELP PLEASE
 
Don't worry about your formal, Lil_country_gal. You'll be fine. I'm going to tell you a secret:

Polite society and formal society are *gasp* just like everyone else, they just think they're more fancy, that's all. One of my favorite things to do is to go out somewhere black-tie formal code and then look at the people. They're just like everyone else.

If you're nervous, I wouldn't worry. It also helps if your date is a great person!

Don't go around in a dither! Just relax and feel wonderful as well look spunky in your fantastic getup. :)

Formal's nothing to worry about, really. Think of it as a party.

Don't chicken out! Otherwise, you'll regret it.
 
I remember that feeling!! So scary!! But you will be alright & I am guessing you will even have fun! Just remember, no matter whether you go or not, the night after the dance, it'll be over with. You can either have gotten too scared & not gone ~ or you could have shown yourself you could do it, gone, and had fun!

I had fun at my dances ~ I was always way too nervous before them, though. I'm really glad that I went, now!
 
Hey When I was 8 years old to 13 years old dance ballroom involved with hearing only (not deaf) Then Later 17 years old I was model involved with hearing too.. I was very confident and brave too.. I really really love dance so much.. ... You will be fine dance formal.. PLS POSITIVE........ :D
 
Hey thanks i just got back and it went ok but pretty bad. My date ditched me for this other girl and i almost broke up with my bf so i could ask him out as soon as this other girl got to the dance i didn't see him till the last 10 min of the dance when he came to make sure i was ok cause i was bawling my eyes out cause i have a huge crush on him. so yea but my friends helped me pull through by listenging to my fav country songs lol so yea good and bad but all around fun
