Again no generalizations. In Islamic culture dogs are seen as 'dirty' and 'unclean' thus many Muslims do not own dogs and if a dog is seen approaching them, depending on the person they may beat it, shoot it, or simply shoo it away.

Some villages will shoo a dog away from the village and leave it to fend for itself in the bush.

In the Islam world, dogs and women are seen as property by the government, one is overly controlled to the point that they must ask for permission to breath, and the other is no good and is not welcomed by many, and often left on the streets to fend for itself.
