SASKATOON - Gay couples can now get married in more than half of the provinces and territories in Canada.
Saskatchewan became the seventh jurisdiction in the country to legalize same-sex marriage with a court ruling in Saskatoon today.
Justice Donna Wilson ruled that the traditional definition of marriage, as it exists now, discriminates against gay couples.
The constitutional challenge was brought forward by five couples and was not contested by the province or the federal government.
At least one couple has said they plan to tie the knot as early as this weekend.

I wonder someday Canada will become the nation that other countries looks up to instead of America as leader of free world? I bet they will. Rumors is that California state governments are thinking of secession to get away from Bush and his Admin/Red states. That's rumors but I hope that will happen in my lifetime.
