I find it interesting that Fox news didn't mention how many people came to the rally. I think Jon Stewart hit a raw nerve with many Americans.

They did.....many times. I saw that just in the coverage they had after I got home from the game. :)

I doubt he hit a raw nerve with many..... everyone I talked to found it entertaining.

I agree. It is nice to see such a good-natured rally, isn't it? :)

my friends could not get in the mall and had issues with backed up buses so they went to nearby bar to watch. they had fun tho.

Actually Becks was larger...............but who cares. Both were non-political. What I saw of Stewart's rally was funny stuff. Looked like a good time.

Non-political? Yea right. :) Comedians say its not and while they said nothing about politicians, we know they're liberals and they like making fun of politicians:

What I meant is that everyone is sick of over the top posturing by extremists. Though he's funny, his rally did have a serious underlying message.

As for Fox, I stand corrected. :) I used the Fox website rather than
TV as I don't even own one.

I'm glad everyone enjoyed it. :)

I remember Jay Leno's jokes about Bill Clinton and I thought he was very funny even though I voted for Clinton for the first term. I haven't voted for anyone since Clinton's first term.

Well, look like they have a sense of humour after all.

A testimony to enormous success of the rally:

Jon Stewart 'Rally to Restore Sanity' crowds set new record for DC transit with 825,437 trips

Greyhound oversold tickets for the non-stop DC bus, forcing many riders on to other bus lines - many of which didn't make it to the Jon Stewart/Stephen Colbert mega-event on time Saturday.

"By the time we got to the National Mall it was all but over," said Jennifer Cordery, 28, of Park Slope, Brooklyn. "We found ourselves taking pictures of empty seats to prove we were there."

Greyhound conceded they may have underestimated the number of buses they needed.

"We tried to project the number of passengers we were going to have, but there was tremendous demand," spokeswoman Bonnie Bastian said.
