That's what we uses....sea salt...I buy from Bj's (cheaper lol).
I do buy table salt for only cooking (put salt in boil water for pasta etc, that's about it) other than that I try not to put too much just tiny bitty.

Too much everything is not good. Just eat whatever in moderation, then you're fine. If you want healthier, try using sea salt instead of regular table salt. Of course, still in moderation amounts.

Smithtr, you probably didn't know why I said sea salt instead of table salt. Sea salt dissolves in warm liquids and goes thru your blood veins without clogging up while table salt is hard to dissolve and can clog up your veins. That's why I recommend sea salt instead of table salt.

Actually, table salt dissolves faster and easier compared to sea salt. Otherwise, it wouldn't be the choice of bakers. Nutritionally wise, there is no difference between either. Sodium chloride is sodium chloride, they're all the same. The only difference is how they are extracted and processed, not to mention the shape as well. Table salt is processed more compared to sea salt and not only that, they add iodine to table salt. You see, people do need iodine and they add it to salt in order to prevent people from suffering an iodine deficiency.

Dang. What's stopping them from adding multi-vitamins?

Please do not give the salt companies any ideas! A lot of food are adding herbs to 'make you feel better' like St John Wort and I could had dies from urine toxicity when I took St John Wort!

Yes, and that is why I consider no carb or extremely low carb diets dangerous - especially for diabetics. If you cut out all the carbs out of your diet you risk dangerously low blood sugar and you can even die from it.
On the other hand, too many carbs is bad for diabetics as well.

Once carbohydrates enter your body, it is converted to sugar.

Table salt is more processed than the sea salt. Altho, sea salt have natural minerals that humans need while table salt doesn't. They have to add it to make it valuable for humans. Of course, we only need little.

The chemical makeup is still the same in the end. The only difference is that the natural minerals add texture and taste to the salt. However, they are always lost once cooked. The reason why table salt is processed more is because it's extract from an underground mine, they have to remove the minerals and anything that may pose a harmful risk to your health.

Like I said, nutritionally wise, there is no difference.
