Russian Tank found underwater for 62 years, starts right up

Wow, I'm surprised it starts up after a few minor repairs. I thought the engine would be damaged when submerged. I guess the mud and stuff preserved it, basically.

It is very :cool2:.

I am not surprised by the conditions of that kind of Russian tank. As military history buff, the T-34 tanks are built for their durability and toughness.

I love the article!

That's last four year ago.
A Russian Tank - captured and re-painted by Nazi Germans - was found in a Russian lake and recovered. The engine was still in working order.

thats russian engineering at its best, quite of lot of other examples are out there too, including the biggest supersonic airliner, worlds biggest plane, best machine gun ever made - AK47 (that can also still fire after submerged in water) best electronic valves (i have some -including the highly sought after 6H8C) the list goes on, not to mention lots of the worlds best chess players came from Russia too, (I also got one of the very best Russian book about Chess - from Russia with extraordinary quality of paper that was typical during their then-communist regime.
