Run/Walk this Sat. to benefit deaf and blind school | KVOA.com | Tucson, Arizona
The 2nd Annual Sertoma 5k Run and Walk for Better Hearing will benefit the Arizona School for the Deaf and Blind, the Adult Loss of Hearing Association, and several UA audiology scholarship programs.
The event takes place this Saturday, March 12 at 8:30 a.m., with proceeds benefiting the school's athletic department, which is facing severe budget cuts from the state legislature. The Arizona School for the Deaf and Blind is treated as a state agency, and experiences larger budget cuts than other Tucson schools, according to representative for the school.
The run and walk will start and finish on the school's track, and run through the Santa Cruz River Trail. The event is USA Track and Field certified - the juggling team Bob and Trish will even try to break a speed record for running while juggling.

Everyone Runs ~ Producing Fun Running Events in Tucson, Arizona; Marathons, Half Marathons, visit any Tucson running store, or register at the event prior to 8:15 a.m. Registration is $30 and includes a free shirt, a free Mexican breakfast, awards in five-year age groups, free post race photos and massage.
