Because it shows real emotions.
Real people.

And I am sick of Actors, and they get everything and awards and gowns.

I think Reality Show is good, because someday me and you
and everybody could get a chance to be on tv.

But I wish it isn't all about winning money...

I wish it is comical and really funny...

and not all about sex and hot...

I want to see real people, fat, ugly, or plain looking people.
I don't wanna see smoking or drinking alcohol,

I just think there should be a tv show about

real family...not always problem solving like Cosbys show.

I wanna see siblings fight over this and that...
and I wanna see family laugh at the dinner table.
 
First of all The Cosby Show was great. I think reality TV is BS they pick good looking people with certin problem. Probably scripted to some point. Have you ever seen a not cute person on The Real World ? Its all just a bunch of crap. Life is reality TV is BS.

I agree that the Cosby Show was an excellent TV series in the 1980s. :) It was one of my favorites back then. :)

I think Reality TV shows are overrated....we are getting too many of them....and I agree, they are scripted to a point.
 
but if tv producer came to your house, and say they wanna
do reality show about you... and will pay you $1 million

and even if it is scripted, would you do it? :mrgreen:

i thought reality tv stars don't get paid a lot because its not like they're an actor/actress that are on tv as a career.
 
after the reality show, those ppl become celebrites. some were offered for movies or tv shows or models or playboy. etc. they do get paid. :)
 
I agree with Nancy, reality shows are overrated. I hate them to death because I do not want to watch someone's life, how they live it, what they do everyday, how they eat their food, etc. It's so boring and very "drama queen" material like MTV's Real World, Road Rules, Joe Millionaire, American Princess, etc.

I can understand where Miss P. is coming from, she don't like actors basking in the glory for what they did in the movies because they are getting paid a hefty load of money, BUT at least it help us escape from reality and re-live the fictional stories in our heads like scary movies, romance movies, comedy movies etc. You see someone getting hurt in a comedy movie but did they go to the hospital and stay there for 2 weeks to 10 weeks? No they tend to bounce out of the hospital after a day in a body cast or something like that depending on the severity of their injury and we would be laughing because of how they got hurt and how they recovered from it. It helps us relieve ourselves but watching reality shows never help me relieve because I would be squirming in my stomach, shouting things out to the T.V. as if they can hear me, "Shut the F**K up, stop crying and get over with it!". Seriously, everyone today is so obsessed with reality shows, they are forgetting about their own lives.

My opinion: ALL reality shows SUCK like cow poop.

You want a reality show? Buy a camcorder and tape all of the things you do everyday, with a tripod or have your spouse/friend help you out by recording your daily activities. I got my reality show here (my life) so I'm fine with it.
 
Reality TV sucks the biggest shit there is. Its cheap, its doesnt need customes, doesnt need scripts at hand, doesnt need trained actors and its been made possible because you can put alot of cameras everywhere, giving that surveillence capability which the audiences love. Its bad, its brings down the meaning of culture to its all-time low, and why's the fuck are we so excited watching this moron picking his nose and getting famous from that?? its just ridiculous
 
Realty TV is complete and utter garbage.

And let's be honest, nothing aired under the category 'Reality" is really... non-scripted material. Even shows like Real World and Road Rules follow a format despite how authentic they feel.

I've not had cable access for months (Since April) and one of the real reasons is because Cable Television has went to the hell in the last 10 years. Nothing appeals to me and I don't see that changing anytime soon. Only a few shows are worth watching and I can view those for free on Hulu.

In all honestly, TV has sucked since they canceled The Wonder Years back in the 90's
