I was recently on ip-relay calling child support services in Ohio to find out what was up with my tax refund if they were going to take it or not. I have never ever had a problem with any business and/or person giving me any information i needed confidential or not. But this lady absolutely refused to tell me anything on my case! She said that the only thing I could do is send in a hand written, notarized letter saying that a family member could talk on the phone for me, i couldn't even notarize the relay service to allow them to socalled "talk for me." I mean i know she's just covering her azz but come on, i dont know if this is a violation of rights, if there's anything i can do about it, or if i'm just looking too far into it. She proceeded to tell me (After i called back a 2nd time) that she talked to her attourney and he said she didn't have to tell me anything even though i had all the identifying info to verify it was me. Is there anything i can do? Am i just being silly about this? any one else have this happen to them? thanks for the input

Is child support service a local/state government or a private firm? If it is a public, you need to contact either mayor office or governor office/your state represetative. If it is about private firm, you need to contact president of company.

I haven't really read this thread (I only saw "contact president" from Mookie) because I'm multitasking majorly, but if you want to contact a high-ranking figure in a firm, you might want to use the Contacts Influential directory.

Most major libraries have Contacts Influential on hand. Just go to the librarian or the help desk and ask for it. Then look up the name of the firm and find the high ranking name that goes along with it.

I'll re-read this post as soon as I'm done with this insane load of work!

as far as im concerned its part of the local government, part of children and families and all that. Im trying to find the mayor of jackson county ohio, im in florida but the place i had to call was ohio being that my 1st daughter lives up there and the child support case was started there. So if ya'll have any other ideas let me know thanks
