Puppies Go Barking Mad At Party (from Bucks Free Press)

BARKING mad puppies had a ball at the Hearing Dogs for Deaf People Christmas party on Friday.

The event was organised by the charity based in Wycombe Road, Saunderton. The puppies, who are being trained to help deaf people, were involved in a number of party games including musical sit down and temptation alley.

Gemma Baxter, spokesman, said: "It was a brilliant day, with lots of fun and laughter."

Volunteers only temporarily have ownership of the dogs and will give them back to the charity once they are trained so that they can be placed with someone who has hearing difficulties.

Gemma added: "It takes someone really special to be a volunteer as it can be hard to say goodbye to a dog once it has been trained.

"That is one of the reasons we held the party as to say thank you to the volunteers."

To volunteer call 01844 348105.
