Hey there! I've been reading and following this forum for a long time. I've enjoyed reading peoples discussions, and opinions. I currently have color sidekick...not 2..just regular color sidekick. I am thinking fast what to do. My sidekick is soon ready to be buried, but still work barely. I ask t-mobile for replacement..tmobile say they stop replacing sidekick 1. UGH! They say they can give me discount for $249 for new sidekick 2. :wtf: Uhmm..I'll hafta think about that. I've heard some people say Treo 600 is AWESOME. I'd like your opinion. You think Treo 600 by Tmobile is good? What compare to sidekick 2? I saw on fusewireless.com they selling treo 600 for 149 dollars. 350 dollar automatic discount!! :deal: Wow! Cant beat that.

Any one opinion or suggest? good? bad? why? Thanks!!

In all functions, the Treo looks supperior to the Sidekick II. The quality of the programs and functions are far more appealing to me. The Treo also has alot more expandable memory. Although, the Treo does not come loaded with Relay programs like the Sidekick II does, which comes with MCI's IP Relay and Sprint's Online Relay programs already installed. I'm not sure if you'd have use for those programs. For the Treo, you'd either have to download and install a program, or depend on AIM based relay, which combined with a wireless signal and the jerkiness of AIM relay, can be really slow. I'm planning on getting a Treo 650 next week, but the Sidekick definetely looks like a good choice. I guess it just depends on what you will be needing it for, and what features are more important to you. The internet service, from what I've seen from my friends' Sidekicks, is not much better then the quality on my Motorla V265 cell phone, while the Treo displays the internet is if it were on a computer.

The Treo 600 looks like a good deal, but the keyboard is a little harder to type than the sidekick, cuz it's smaller and closely spaced together. :(

Exact the reason why I opt for SK2 instead of Treo600. I was close to buy treo, but two reasons, size of keyboard and relay service. Funny, I haven't used relay service though SK2 so far! I depend on VRS almost all the time.

Treo

Hmm...you have made some very good points. The keyboard...if you guys have experience...is it almost like the old T900 2 way pager? Remember those little things? Keyboard almost same size and way? If that is same size..then I wouldnt have problem with keyboard being smaller and closer space together.
About downloading applications...if I wanted to use the MCI Ip relay..could I simply go on the web on TREO and use it there since Treo supports Java? Or possible I download MCI Ip Relay or sync it to download to Treo?? I have noticed I rarely use MCI relay on my sidekick 1 becuz my work has tdd for us deafies who work at my job. I use VRS heavily like DieHardBiker65 does too.

:afro: I guess I just want to be DIFFERENT :afro: ....any more thoughts?

Thanks. :ty: :ty:

im considering of getting treo for 2 reasons just e mail based and IMS no need to go into websites cuz it just a hassle for me... and ofc i have phone compatiblities fine with me, for the purpose of emergency status only theres no need for me to rack up bills when i already have my IMS and my e mails :)

The smaller keyboard on the TREO can be getting used to. I came from sidekick, so for a while it was difficult but then it became 2nd nature. We are creatures who can adapt, right?
