The media is controlled by corporations. Corporations are not liberal. The corporations look after their own interests (i.e., generating profits for their shareholders). When the media pays lip service to social issues, there is always a corporate agenda behind it.
Concentrated corporate media info here:
Ownership Chart: The Big Six | Free Press
Really doesn't matter WHO owns them, it's what the reporters and anchors believe. I posted that chart earlier in this thread. In another thread I pointed out how only one network covered both Brown's and Coakley's speech after they MA election. 2 other networks covered ALL of Coakley's speech but less than half of Brown's speech. The other three didn't cover the special election until the next day. That's bias.
When George Bush ran the media tripped over each other trying to report on his college days and National Guard service. Dan Rather even went so far as to knowing report on fake documents. Yet only one network bothered to report on Obama's connection to Rezko. And when Obama stated that the reason he voted against legislation that supported a fetal rights after it survived childbirth because other legislation was attached, only one network reported that legislation in it's entirety that should there was no legislation attached. This is a bill that passed in the U.S. Senate 99-0 but in Illinois Obama voted against it 3 times. That's media bias.
