Program helps parents of deaf children

Deaf Independent Living Association Inc. will launch a new program, Parents of Deaf and Hard of Children Support Group, on Oct. 5 from 6 to 8 p.m.

The support group is targeted toward parents of deaf and hard of hearing children and youths of all ages. The purpose of the support group is to offer peer support, education and coping skills for parents dealing with issues related to hearing loss.

The group will meet at the DILA office on Snow Hill Road in Salisbury. Call 410-742-5052.
 
wow.. wish ark have one like that.. it would be cool to have a group supporting each other with kids.. having to cope with every day lifes and taking care of kids and how to.. etc.. maybe if it is a successful then it will spread to other states? i hope.. :)
