Now that we have Obama as our elected President, he will likely replace three aging judges with young liberal judges for the Supreme Court. Those liberal judges will NOT overturn Roe vs Wade.

That guarantees that women will have the freedom to choose safe and legal abortion for the next three decades.

Even the pro-life movement knows it's over and that there's NO way to overturn Roe vs Wade. Jill Stanek, pro-life activist, wrote:

"The goal of much of the pro-life movement for 35 years has been to overturn Roe v. Wade. Most actions by some groups have been toward this end.

With the election of Barack Obama, however, that strategy is off the table for the next 2-3 decades. As I stated in my column yesterday, Obama will have the opportunity to nominate at least 2-3 young Supreme Court justices, who will assuredly support Roe, and he has a Senate majority to affirm his picks. So Roe's future is anchored for 20-30 years. That prize is gone for us, gone."

Yes, my dear, you'll never have a chance to interfere with a woman's decision on her reproductive choices!

It's over. Move on!

Hello netrox, don't forget to put source link because some ADers need proof.

But not the babies. They won't be safe any more.

What about the young girls who are being presurized into abortion by their families or boyfriends. Where can they run to now. They are not safe either.

This is very very bad news. Only safe country is Ireland now.

Here's an idea: they can run to the birth control clinics before they get pregnant.

Re: your second statement...that would greatly depend on how you define safe. Checked out Ireland's difficulties lately?

I don't really care if it is legal or not, it's just their choices and I have my own choices.

Ireland is probably have alot of illegal abortion.

Not just only for Ireland, some countries don't allows abortion but citizens performs on illegal abnortion.

No one can prevent it, just like if you outlaw the gun then crime will going up and black market is spreading.

I know... Even survivors will be killed in a name of woman's choice right after abortions failed. =/

I will give you a link soon.. you should read their stories and opinions, they made me so depressing. :tears:

I wonder how credible this will be. :hmm:

I am thrilled about this cuz the idea of people interfering with my right to do with my body because of their own views just turns me off.

I agree! I am much relieved the election turned out the way it did.

No, it's not information or fact. I read abortion survivors' feelings and expressions in their stories about Obama is now our next president. Their writings are from blogs and entries in a general personal journal or blog or others.

SO, anecdotal evidence. I suppose it's credible to a point, then.

One thing to keep in mind when reading stories like this.... Do your research and if you can find credible evidence to back up their claim, you can believe it. I wouldn't necessarily something I read in a blog as fact, though. Opinion, yes, but not fact.

Exactly. Bloggers have their own agenda which is why it's important to take their opinions and personal experiences with a huge grain of salt.

Agree with you both OB and Hear Again. Especially since these stories are usually very, very lacking on details that would provide credibility.

I knew you don't really care at all but you don't need to be so mean... I'm not doing to research something in order to demand it against their blogs/entries to be proved me a fact. Right now, they are depressing and upset. So, I don't think I need to say it for fact and shrug off at them.

Btw - as for bold font, I never say it is a fact. I simply listened their thoughts/opinions. That's all.

Exactly. There's a story about an alledged abortion survivor. Someone who actually alledgedly survived an abortion attempt. It's said that her Mother had the procedure done, but she didn't die. Was born premature and has Cerebral palsy now. I did a little research and come to find out the procedure that is said to have taken place is no longer done. This is pro-life and speaks against abortion citing her "experience". I find this misleading because the procedure her mother alledgedly had done is no longer in use.

So, like I said. Do your research before you believe anything on the internet!

Ahh... Not that one. In journals and blogs as a personal.
