Police: Man Left 3 Disabled People In Van To Mow Lawn - Boston News Story - WCVB Boston

A Framingham man is accused of leaving three mentally disabled people in a van parked in the sun while he mowed his lawn.

Jon Dresser, 47, will be arraigned Thursday in Framingham District Court on three counts of neglect of a disabled person, the MetroWest Daily News reported.

Dresser, who is deaf, was arrested at his home Saturday after a neighbor said he left the three deaf and mentally disabled people in a van for more than an hour while he mowed his lawn, police said.

It was 85 degrees out and the van's air conditioning was not on, police said. The windows were open.

Dresser denied that the passengers were in the van for that long, but apologized and said he did not want to get in trouble, police said.

The three disabled people were taken to the MetroWest Medical Center as a precaution, and were later released.
