The plastic mat is about allow to moving the office chair around.
I have new carpet installed in last few days ago and it is more durable and thicker than old carpet, also covered with warranty because of severe crushing with excessive shredded. I'm surprised that my plastic mat won't hold so well because new carpet is frieze and plastic mat started move out of position. My plastic mat was rated for thicker carpet but won't work on frieze, no matters about how is thickness. I'm think about throw plastic mat out and let office desk to roll on carpet, however it could damage to some kind of carpet. I talked with representative at carpet store about this situation and they will call me if use desk office on carpet is safe or not.
I need find suggestion to make hard surface mat to hold so well and I think about hardwood mat is good idea but it is expensive if you want buy from store. I heard about some people made their own hardwood mat at better price.
