Pick em up truck

Umm I never said disagreed with law. I said YOU.

Clear explained that you still needs CDL C for 16 passengers or more for 25,999 lbs or under.

lol.... oh my god....

for Class C.. it does not matter how heavy your vehicle is.... you are required to get CDL if you are transporting 16+ passengers REGARDLESS of weight - small bus. big bus. medium bus. school bus. Greyhound bus. customized RV to hold more people. large van. doesn't matter.

for Class A... if you are not transporting passengers but your vehicle is over 26,001 lbs plus towing something that's over 10,000 lbs.... you are required to get CDL.

for Class B... your vehicle is over 26,001 lbs but towing something less than 10,000 lbs...

understand?

does it matter?

I thought you want move on. I guess you lied.
under 26,001 lbs.... therefore you do not need CDL

Why bother to immature and keeps quote again and again?

because you are required to TEST it with loads.... therefore you need to have CDL

Umm no. See you made up the story. Do you know why it needs test road for?

I thought you want move on. I guess you lied.

Why bother to immature and keeps quote again and again?
because you don't seem to get it. Sono and I are trying very hard to make you understand and you're still acting like a little brat.

Umm no. See you made up the story. Do you know why it needs test road for?
yes... because you're a mechanic and you need to make sure it passes the test...

does it matter?

under 26,001 lbs.... therefore you do not need CDL

Then why you said,
under 26,001 lbs.... therefore you do not need CDL

Now you said,

I already explained that and why you still don't get it? Enjoy trolled?

Then why you said,

Now you said,

I already explained that and why you still don't get it? Enjoy trolled?

oh my... oh my...

I don't care about your states. I prefer keeps simple CDL policy for all states due travel around.

Again, Size don't matter like CDL C. RV is heavy and large than bus but bus must have CDL and RV don't.

Again, policy still not clear for personal user or not. That's why I asked him for Source.

And Semi-truck IS COMMERCIAL.
that's what we're trying to explain to you.

because you don't seem to get it. Sono and I are trying very hard to make you understand and you're still acting like a little brat.

Why should I acting a little brat? That's all I asked for friendly question and you jumped in and trolled me.

yes... because you're a mechanic and you need to make sure it passes the test...[/QUOTE]

You are not even mechanic and you think it required to TEST it with loads. Not make sense to me.

because you are required to TEST it with loads.... therefore you need to have CDL
:laugh2:No matter loads or not. I had asked other mechanic who have CDL and he took road test without LOAD needs to steering tires test, ABS test, restart CO2, etc.

Not just me, other few mechanics who not have CDL and they can't allows to drive semi-truck as itself ONLY on the pubic road WITHOUT loads. Why you can't understand what I talked about?

huh? I answered your question and you're acting like a brat.

You are not even mechanic and you think it required to TEST it with loads. Not make sense to me.
then why?

uh.... right..... then why do you need to drive semi-truck with loads? to test it, right?

Then why you said,

that's what we're trying to explain to you.

Then you don't understand me or ignored my explain.

Looks red bold. Same thing. Why bother to explained me? What's your point? What did I wrong?

Then you don't understand me or ignored my explain.

it's hopeless. moving on. you've got your 3 different classes requirements and you can just refer to your DMV as CDL requirement varies in each state.

simple as that.

huh? I answered your question and you're acting like a brat.

My question was direct to sonocativo. Not even quote to you. You just jumped in and acting like a smartass and bart.

then why?

road test without LOAD needs to steering tires test, ABS test, restart CO2, etc
.

uh.... right..... then why do you need to drive semi-truck with loads? to test it, right?

Why you said "uh...right.." You don't understand what I talked about?

Who said I need to drive semi-truck with loads for road test?

but... sono and I are saying same thing. all I said was "he's right" and then you started getting all fussy.

Who said I need to drive semi-truck with loads for road test?

then what are you saying? be clear.

I am not in mood to read whole DMV and found it out it was not true or not. I prefer direct your source which it's true or not. I drove semi-truck with over 26k GVW before without CDL needs as private parking (pick up and drop off). Why you drive BUS around if no job? Not make sense to me.

Under what?

But I am diesel mechanic and I am not allows to drive semi-truck on the public street WITHOUT hauling loads for test road without CDL.

but... sono and I are saying same thing. all I said was "he's right" and then you started getting all fussy.

Don't matter since you made not correct info.

then what are you saying? be clear.

But I am diesel mechanic and I am not allows to drive semi-truck on the public street WITHOUT hauling loads for test road without CDL.

It is CLEAR enough. Why you don't understand enough or you just enjoy for brat?

You just brat and said,
uh.... right..... then why do you need to drive semi-truck with loads? to test it, right?

Don't matter since you made not correct info.

ok even though he said -

DMV, thats all you need. Check it.
Jiro is correct as well on the weight limit*.

* varies by states.

let me back Jiro here.... He is right. You can own and drive a semi without a CDL. I dont give a damn if its a commercial vehicle, if its for personal use ( not hauling loads or for hire ) you dont have to have a CDL, if you load and pull 26,001 pounds, more than 8 passengers you need a CDL. I drove dump trucks, I drove semis, I drove busses, all without CDLs because I wasnt for hire, I didnt have passengers and I was under 26,000 pounds. Look up your DMV call and ask. simple as that...source, here you are pull up yours and READ. DMV.org: The DMV Made Simple

but I'll just drop it and say I'm wrong. ok. done? happy?

It is CLEAR enough. Why you don't understand enough or you just enjoy for brat?

You just brat and said,
so... do you have CDL?

ok even though he said -

but I'll just drop it and say I'm wrong. ok. done? happy?
No, I wish you understand me in first place.

so... do you have CDL?

But I am diesel mechanic and I am not allows to drive semi-truck on the public street WITHOUT hauling loads for test road without CDL.

(sigh) I already explained that. That's mean I don't have CDL yet and still waiting to hearing from DOT.

The DMV issues the tests and licenses, not the DOT... why are you waiting on the DOT?

I know you have to take the drivers part at specific places, here we go to a place run by the Highway Patrol. But it has nothing to do with anything other than passing the driving section.

Per your earlier question, I didnt need a CDL as I didnt have passengers or loads. Once I started hauling loads I had to have the CDL otherwise lose the position. Have you noticed all the people buying school busses and converting to RV type campers... no CDL needed. I can buy a SEMI and drive it as a daily vehicle with no CDL as long as Im not pulling loads for hire. Had one and I know quite a few people who do now as well. I no longer have my CDL because I dont need it, didnt want to spend the extra money for it and all the other crap involved with it ( you still get hit heavy with fines carrying a CDL, unlike a regular drivers license) if you want to argue that as well, just ask any drivers. thats your source for that first hand.
